Adult Counselling
The program provides accessible crisis intervention and brief psychotherapy treatment on a prioritization basis to the most serious and urgent acute cases requiring community mental health services.
Clinical services are provided proactively and collaboratively with General Physicians, Psychiatrists and Mental Health Consultants. |
Location
Services are provided from the main Salt Spring Island Community Services building at 268 Fulford-Ganges Road. The building is wheelchair accessible and has private counselling offices and group/family meeting rooms.

9.00am - 4.00pm
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
9.00am - 7.00pm Thursday
Access to Service
Referrals to the program are made by Physicians, Lady Minto Hospital and other community professional. Self referrals are also made.
Emergency Mental Health Response Services
The Emergency Mental Health program provides a trained mental health professional on Salt Spring Island, to respond to after hours emergency mental health needs of individuals in the community.
The mental health professional on Salt Spring is ‘on call’ from 4.00 pm till midnight, 7 days per week. This service is available to the Outer Gulf Islands for consultation by phone.
