Consumer Support - Yellow Submarine

The Consumer Support service provides consumers with leisure, education, pre-employment and peer support opportunities in a stress free environment on Salt Spring Island.

The service is available for adults who are chronically mentally ill and have difficulty finding and maintaining employment.

The Yellow Submarine provides a peer support group that facilitate leisure, recreational and educational activities for individuals.

A mental health nurse provides employment readiness training and support services.

Access and Hours

Referrals are made through the mental health nurse, mental health housing coordinator, emergency mental health, consumer advocates, other Salt Spring Island Community Services staff, psychiatrist, family, physicians and private counsellors.

1:30pm - 4:00pm     Monday through Thursday
