Family Support
Family support services are provided to families with children in need of protection. Referrals are made by the Ministry of Child and Family Development-Child Protection.
The service is for families who live on the Southern Gulf Islands with children aged 0-18 years and are in need of child protection services.
Location
The nature of the work requires that the family support worker spend time in the home of the person served and may also include activities in other places in the community.
Access to Service
Access to this service is via referal from the Child Protection social worker responsible for the Salt Spring Island and the Outer Gulf Islands.
