Family Place is a resource and drop-in program centrally located in Ganges Salt Spring Island, where parents and children under six can play, relax, learn, and receive support and community information.
A full spectrum of early years programming is offered including:
- Parent Child Drop-in Programs
- Parent Child Mother Goose
- One to One Support and Counselling
- Parent Education Programs
The facility offers a comfortable, safe and well-equipped playroom, library, sitting area, kitchen, counselling offices and clothing exchange.

Counselling and individual support hours are flexible based on family needs.
The Family Place Coordinator is available 9.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday.
Families with young children may seek support or education for the following and other reasons:
- Pregnant and parenting teens
- Early childhood behaviour
- Parenting as a grandparent
The drop-in program welcomes all young parents, grandparents and children to enjoy the variety of interesting activities, toys and resources at Family Place.

- Monday 9:00 - 12:30
- Tuesday 12:00 - 3:00*
- Thursday 9:00 - 12:30
*Tuesdays, 1/2 hour, 1 on 1 parent counselling support is available.
Childcare also available.
Rugg Huggers Baby & Parent Drop-in
- Fridays 10.00 - 1.00 (includes light lunch)

Access to Service
Services can be accessed through the Salt Spring Island Community Services. Referrals can be made by the counsellors at Salt Spring Island Community Services, Ministry of Children and Family Development, schools, physicians or other professionals in the community.
