Salt Spring Island Community Services is a non profit, charitable organization serving the communities of the Southern Gulf Islands.
Our 33 programs offer a broad range of services to the community and provides diverse employment and career opportunities. |

Staff positions range from clinicians, counsellors, program
workers, program coordinators to administrative support
staff and managers. Positions also range from full-time
to part-time to casual work. The home base for most
employees is Salt Spring Island, but some employees
work on other islands or travel among the islands.
The Southern Gulf Islands are nestled up against
east side of Vancouver Island accessible by ferry
from Vancouver, Victoria and Central Vancouver Island.
It provides an ideal rural lifestyle well known for
its vibrant arts and culture. Clean air, magnificent
scenery and strong sense of community are a few of
the reasons to live and work here.
We seek staff who are professional, team-oriented,
enthusiastic, have a desire for life long learning,
and value service to people and community.
Most SSICS employees are members of the Hospital Employees Union (HEU). Benefits for regular union and exempt staff include

and supported through ongoing professional development plans and training, leadership
development and a computer purchase plan.
