Salt Spring Island Community Services benefits immensely from the support and energy of many volunteers, who actively contribute to the community through our programs and services.  We are a diverse organization offering volunteer opportunites that suit many individual preferences and skills.  Some of our services, such as the Foodbank, Lets Do Lunch, the Wall, and Wellness programs, depend solely on volunteers to make the service possible.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are many types of volunteer work available at SSICS.  Some involve working with people, while others may involve working with information, computers or tools.  Some volunteer jobs last for only a few weeks while others require a long-term commitment.  Volunteers are of all ages and backgrounds.
